The Wabane Council is one of the three councils in the Lebialem Division of the South West Region of Cameroon. The council covers a surface area of 1,800 km² with a population estimated at 86,721 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters is located in Babong Bamumbu​.
The municipality is divided into Lower Mundani (lowlands including Bangang, Besali, Bechati, Folepi, and Egumbo) and Upper Mundani (mid and highlands). The primary economic activity is agriculture, with crops such as cocoa, palm oil, Irish potatoes, cabbages, and carrots being significant sources of income​.
