The predominant dialect spoken in Wabane is Mundani. This dialect reflects the shared history of migration from the Widikum tribe of the North West Region. The M’mouck tribe from the upper part of Wabane also traces its origin to Dschang in the West Region, while others in the lowlands migrated from Upper Bayang in Manyu Division​.
